Job Title:
Tearoom Supervisor

Main Purpose of Job:
To support the directors in the day to day operations of the Tearoom, being responsible for its smooth running in
their absence.

Hours:
Flexible number of days to suit the right person. Both week day + weekend availability essential. Varying shift
lengths between 8 – 5:30.

Job Description:
1. To ensure each day runs smoothly by being able to adapt to the changing demands of the business,
working well as part of a team to generate maximum output whilst maintaining consistent high quality.
2. To be confidently responsible for the Tearoom during periods when the Directors aren’t present on site.
3. To have an active involvement in the training and monitoring of staff, with a consistent awareness of
other team members, their workload and development.
4. To be a responsible key holder, both opening and closing the business for the days operations, and
carry out day end procedures for the till each day.
5. To support the Directors in carrying out stock checks and in daily ordering from a variety of local
suppliers.
6. To assist with the achievement financial objectives, striving for targets and continually working to keep
wastage to a minimum. Manage staff food requests.
7. To assist in the management and completion of the cleaning and maintenance schedule to sustain a
safe, secure and healthy working environment.
8. To assist in maintaining our EHO rating of 5, ensuring the implementation of SFBB practices when
working with food within the business.

1. Be able to work calmly and efficiently at high volume, thriving in a dynamic setting.
2. Be able to work operationally in all aspects of the business, be it on the till, coffee or in the kitchen,
thus facilitating the ability to support other team members when required.
3. Have great communication skills, with the ability to be confident and knowledgeable when interacting
with both customers and other team members, communicating clearly and calmly with a kind and
friendly attitude.
4. Have natural attention to detail and passion for your role, caring about everything that is sent out to
customers.
5. Be organised and methodical in your work approach, with a proactive work ethic and the ability to use
your initiative.

6. Set an example to other staff members in both work place conduct and appearance.
