Established in 2016, we are an independent café on this beautiful National Trust site, our building dating back to the 16th century. What started small now runs 7 days a week, 364 days a year, with our current set-up in a large woodland seating area to the rear. A family business, (Aunty & Niece!) we hold friendly service and thoughtful details at the core of what we do.

Where we can, we keep our ingredients British, resulting in a seasonal, small, but tasty menu. We support independent local businesses who supply us with our lovely produce, which is then put together, on site, by our wonderful team of cooks, bakers + baristas.

Recent renovation works to our building have meant we have been closed inside since the start of the year, and this will remain the same for the time being. We have much to do and agree on behind the scenes, together with the National Trust, and want to re-open in the right way – both for ourselves and the site as a whole.

Please bear with us. We hope the sun will shine on us in our woodland setting this summer!

We hope you love our place as much as we do.
